Privacy Policy

Overview
Vigil by IOanyT ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Name, email address, company name, and phone number (via contact forms)
- AWS account information and infrastructure details (when you become a client)
- Usage data and analytics (via cookies and similar technologies)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Respond to your inquiries and schedule demos
- Monitor and secure your infrastructure (for clients)
- Send service updates and marketing communications (with your consent)
Website Analytics and Cookies
We run our own analytics on vigilcloud.io and docs.vigilcloud.io. The script is served from collect.vigilcloud.io, a domain we own and host ourselves — there is no third-party analytics vendor, and this data is not shared with one.
On your first visit we ask for your consent. Until you choose, nothing is collected and no cookie is set. If you decline, nothing is collected and no cookie is set.
If you accept, we record:
- The pages you view and how long each page holds your attention
- Your browser, operating system and device type
- Your approximate city, derived from your IP address
- If you arrived from one of our marketing emails, the above is linked to the email address that message was sent to. Visitors who do not arrive from one of our emails are not identified in this way.
This uses four first-party cookies on .vigilcloud.io, shared across both sites:
vg_c— whether you accepted or declined. Set either way, and kept for 180 days.vg_t— the email send you arrived from. Only written after you accept, and kept for 180 days.vg_s— a session identifier. Only written after you accept, and kept for 1 day.vg_cid— a random identifier for your browser, so repeat visits are recognised as the same visitor rather than as new ones. It contains no personal information itself. Only written after you accept, and kept for 180 days.
Retention. Analytics records collected this way are kept for 180 days and then deleted.
Withdrawing consent. Delete the vg_c, vg_t, vg_s and vg_cid cookies for vigilcloud.io in your browser's settings. Collection stops immediately, and the consent banner will ask again on your next visit — you can decline then. You can also email privacy@vigilcloud.io to withdraw consent and ask us to delete analytics data already held about you, and we will do so.
Separately from the above, this site uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure traffic and site usage.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. All infrastructure monitoring data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate our business (e.g., AWS for hosting), but only to the extent necessary to provide our services.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request a copy of your data
